EDC Vegas ProTip #49 Print Out or Write Down Phone Numbers

Can you remember a phone number other than your own (if you’re lucky) and your parents? If you can you’re not like the rest of the world. We’re all so used to just typing in or selecting a name to send a text message or make a phone call that we rarely remember the phone numbers. If you lose your phone, the battery is completely dead or your phone ends up in pieces and you need to get a hold of someone immediately what do you do? You start praying!

When you make photocopies of your ID and credit and debit cards and print out your hotel and flight info take a few minutes to print out or write down phone numbers as well. Use the notepad in your hotel room to at least write down everyone’s numbers that’s in your group should anyone get lost or whatever. This is yet another simple step that won’t take more than a minute or two and could save you a lot of stress.

This is a great idea to do as it is without a trip like this. We’ve all heard horror stories of phones dying and people losing all of their contacts so keep them backed up and saved in some way. If you have an iPhone don’t just rely on iCloud.

A list of phone numbers will help to stay in touch with your friends and family should something happen to your phone.

If you want to live on the wild side (or like a Canadian avoiding roaming rates) you can live free by not evening bothering to carry your phone around with you.
