EDC Vegas ProTip #32 Bring an Extra Cell Phone Battery or Charging Attachment

There’s more tips focused on phones than any others because we’re all attached to them. It’s how we communicate, take pictures, videos and share what we’re doing. You’ll likely be on the go and wandering around much of the day and then all night with little time to give your phone a full charge. The best option is to rent a locker (see ProTip #55 Four Reasons to Rent a Locker) with charging stations built in.

This tip can go for any festival, vacation or even long summer day.

There’s a lot of options from Mophie battery pack cases that attach to your iPhone, external battery packs that’ll attach to anything or just carrying an extra battery if your phone has a removable battery.

What’s the best option for you? Depends on how much money you want to spend and what you’re looking for.

Mophie has options for every type of phone at http://www.mophie.com.

If you’re phone has a removable battery just do a search on Amazon or visit your local carriers store to buy an extra one. The challenge will be charging both of them especially with limited time. Search around on Amazon and you’ll probably be able to find an external charger.

For emergency purposes when your phone is dead and you just want to get it back on to get in touch with others a great option could be a “lipstick” charging device. It’s small, portable and will get you turned back on.

Someone is probably reading this thinking questioning how addicted to our phones we are and the first step to an addiction is admitting it! Power up and stay connected but don’t live on your phone, have fun.

About the ProTips: I’ve been counting down the days until Electric Daisy Carnival with a tip a day until the day of the festival. There’ll be more to come after this one and you can view ALL of them here.
