2014 ProTip #16: Enjoy the Food Truck Festival at EDC

When most people think of an electronic music festival they think of the music, lights and people but definitely not food. Electric Daisy Carnival at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the past has featured your typical event food with pizza, tacos, hot dogs, burgers, pretzels and nachos but will have a lot more in 2014 as they’ve invited a number of Las Vegas food trucks to set up around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

There’ll be 130,000 people at EDC and a lot of people will lack an appetite but there’ll be many more who’ll be starving after a long day in the sun at pool parties. There’ll also be a lot of people who slept all day and woke up in a hurry to get to the festival and will be starving. Depending on how long your stay in Las Vegas is it could be tough to eat more than fast food or one of the buffets so this is a great time to check out some local cuisine.

Based on the names of the trucks it’s pretty easy to figure out what they’ll be selling. For those who do look for food at the all night festival you’ll have some more options this year instead of the standard grub and then having to wait for the hot dog wrapped in bacon being sold outside.

The following food trucks will be spread out throughout the festival:

  • Bake My Day Cupcakes
  • Can’t Dutch This
  • Dragon Grille
  • Lobsta Trap
  • Oming’s Kitchen
  • Sausagefest
  • Sin City Dogs
  • Sully’s Taste of Chicago
  • The Hummus Factory
  • Truk-N-Yaki
  • Wa Da Pho

Local restaurants will also be featured at the festival:

  • Desnudo Tacos
  • District One
  • Nacho Daddy
  • Naked City Pizza Shop
  • SkinnyFats

Toss that EDC diet out the window and enjoy some food!
