Photos: Trance Stage Makes a Comeback at Escape All Hallows’ Eve 2014

Trance fanatics were thrilled with the trance filled lineup at Escape All Hallows’ Eve. A majority of the trance artists performed Friday at the Ghouls’ Graveyard stage with only Dash Berlin playing Friday and Armin van Buuren on Saturday at the main stage Slaughterhouse. Arctic Moon was scheduled for a two-hour set. However, Jordan Suckley got caught in traffic on the way to the venue, so Arctic Moon played an extra 20 minutes until Jordan was able to take over the decks. Although Jordan Suckley’s set was cut short he still threw down a killer performance. Simon Patterson aka Psymon took over from there. The night progressed along as the Escape attendees were in trance heaven, waving their trance inspired totems and flags, as they danced the night away to sets by Bryan Kearney, Andrew Rayel, Astrix, Paul van Dyk and ending the evening with an amazing performance with Aly & Fila B2B John O’Callaghan!

Some people could say that as part of overall festival experience they want to be able to check out all five stages and other types of EDM performances; wander around the grounds and hang out at the foggy lagoon with larger than life rubber ducks; enjoy the one-eyed monster art car, 28-foot Cactaferrum art piece  (towering installation which captured the phases of plant from bud to flower with flame effects) plus the two haunted mazes (Alice’s House of Horror and The Looking Glass 3D Maze); or ride the YOYO or Ferris wheel to get a birds-eye view of the entire festival below. However, many of the hardcore trance fans barely left Ghouls’ Graveyard at all on Friday except to get drinks and some food, refill their water bottles and use the porta potties. They were so ecstatic to have a trance only stage and weren’t bothered at all to stay at Ghouls’ Graveyard all night long! During one of the last tracks of the night, one group that stayed at the trance stage almost the entire time even took a few minutes for a group hug!  With lots of trance artists also recently performing at Beyond Wonderland Bay Area and EDC Orlando, trance fans can hold out hope over the next 6+ months that EDC Las Vegas 2015 will feature an even better trance lineup than the past couple of years and maybe if we’re really lucky, the trance only stage will return (fingers crossed)!
