The day finally arrived for tickets to go on sale for the fifth Electric Daisy Carnival to be held in Las Vegas. Tickets for the three-day festival which will take place June 19-21, 2015 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. went on sale today at noon PST through Ticketmaster. Ticket buyers using the Ticketmaster app on their mobile phones reported that tickets were easy to buy. One downside about using the app to purchase tickets is that payment plans are not available. Many people using a desktop browser complained about waiting a long time in an online queue where the wait time kept increasing and increasing. Some of these people got their tickets after about a 15 minute wait, while others said they waited in a queue for more than 40 minutes.

Even after 2 hours of tickets being on sale, some people were still experiencing delays. One suggestion from Pasquale Rotella was to have multiple browser tabs open to increase the chances of a shorter wait time.

The first tier of tickets, Early Owl sold out within one hour before moving up in price to the second tier, L8R Owl. Based on data from EDC Las Vegas 2014, there were 402,000 in attendance over the three-day weekend. So that is approximately 134,000 headliners at EDC Las Vegas each night. There’s no word on exactly how many tickets have been sold so far, but with 30% of GA capacity now sold out, we can assume that at least 30,000-40,000 tickets have already been sold. It sure seems like tickets are selling faster than they have during the previous four years. Based on the demand for tickets in previous years, Insomniac is encouraging fans to purchase the remaining tickets as soon as possible so they don’t miss out.

Ticket buyers who were not lucky enough to buy Early Owl tickets will be paying $20 per ticket + .60 in service fees more for L8R Owl tickets. This is the final price tier for general admission tickets until they sell out. VIP tickets are also still available for $699 + fees. Payment plans are available for both L8R Owl and VIP tickets.

Shuttle passes will be available for purchase later. No information is available yet on pricing or shuttle stops.

The official EDC Week will run from June 16-22 for an entire week with the festival itself from  June 19-21, 2015. EDC Week will feature club nights and pool parties every day along with the EDMbiz conference and expo which will be held June 16th-18th. For those interested in attending EDMbiz this year, passes were available today on Ticketmaster as an add-on for either a GA or VIP ticket for an additional $299 + $11.10 in fees. However a payment plan was not available. EDMbiz tickets officially go on sale on Tuesday, December 2nd at Noon PST.
