Insomniac’s very first EDC Week Charity Auction raised approximately $70,000 for Culture Shock Las Vegas (CSLV) during a 10-day online auction which was the first of its kind surrounding any music festival. It attracted more than 2,000 fans to eBay Giving Works to bid on once-in-a-lifetime Electric Daisy Carnival inspired experiences. To provide the over 50 spectacular EDC Week auction items, Insomniac is partnered with more than one dozen local businesses including TAO Group, Maverick Helicopters, MGM Resorts International, Hakkasan Group, Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, SLS Las Vegas, Life is Beautiful Festival, Blue Man Group, The LINQ, Interscope Records among others.

Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac had this to say:

“Insomniac and our EDC Week Charity Auction partners are so excited that we were able to raise approximately $70,000 for Culture Shock Las Vegas. I am so happy and grateful that our very first charity auction captured the excitement of so many people in Las Vegas and the dance music community. Culture Shock is such an amazing non-profit and the work they do truly embodies the spirit of EDC – rejecting hatred and inspiring positivity for kids and teens.”

All of the proceeds raised by the online auction are being donated directly to the amazing non-profit organization Culture Shock Las Vegas, a group dedicated to providing a safe and fun after school environment for the youth of Las Vegas. Culture Shock seeks to steer youth away from substance abuse, violence and hatred through performance art and dance. With the money raised, Culture Shock will be able to offer even more kids and teens a brighter future through dance and the creation life-long friendships.

“It’s a beautiful thing to see the community come together to participate in such an exciting event while making a great impact in so many children’s lives,” said Vangie Bisquera, executive director at Culture Shock Las Vegas. “With this money, we will be able to change the future of this organization by renting stable studio space for our dancers and allowing more students to join our program.”

Fans from all over the world had the opportunity to bid on over-the-top experiences such as taking a helicopter ride to EDC Las Vegas with Pasquale Rotella and Holly Madison, making sushi with Krewella at Nobu, entry into every Insomniac festival for an entire year, a Blue Man Group ultimate fan package, a private trailer in the artist area at EDC Las Vegas, performing with Cirque du Soleil for a day, taking a selfie with Hardwell on stage at EDC Las Vegas, hanging out with Steve Angello at SLS Las Vegas and many more incredible items. The lucky winners will now be able to live out their some of their biggest dreams, making memories that will last their lifetime.
