Nocturnal Wonderland 2015: Day 1 Recap

After an exciting night of not so silent disco in the camping area. I woke up, after unknowingly passing out in the famous EDC RV. Ate a nutritious breakfast, showered up, and got dressed for the official first day in paradise. Also made one pitstop to the pool, the yellow slide is amazing. I planned to make it in early for Darksiderz and Lady Faith but I failed to do so. I made it in just in time to catch local DJ, TrollPhace, throwing down hardcore-dubstep like no one else and closing out with Antiserum & Tha Trickaz, Boom track. After being named dropped by Skrillex, this is one man on a mission to keep dubstep on the rise.

noc day 1-2

Next up, Ummet Ozcan, who had up and down mainstream moments, closed with an Epic vs Mammoth mashup as expected. Followed by Orjan Nilsen, with a track possibly named after a Bar-Kays song, “Love’s What It’s All About”, with a great instrumental and vocal vibe. Keeping the good times going I now went on to see the man of the night, Kennedy Jones, who surprised the crowd by having John Cena introduce him and KJ being in the middle of the crowd of thousands MCing and dancing the night away with his fans before jumping on the decks. Hardstyle was in full effect tonight at Sunken Garden aka Basscon Stage. Brennan Heart, playing his track featuring Wildstylez, Lose My Mind. Issac, bringing back last year’s Q-Base track, WOW by Max Enforcer.

noc day 1-3

Sander van Doorn, pumped the hearts of the minions with Direct Dizco. Personally to me, W&W has not been the same since before Escape From Wonderland 2013. They have transformed into a mostly a mainstream act and I could not handle longer than 5 minutes of their repetitive set. Technoboy B2B Stephanie, was a great way to finish the night at the hardstyle stage. This set was one of a kind. I highly recommend you to check it out if you can find it on YouTube or Soundcloud. Armin van Buuren, played a generic set with no trance. I walked away and venture to Z-Trip who closed out the Upside Down Room. With only moments to spare, I ran down the hill to engulf all that was B2B heaven, Darren Styles B2B Gammer. Truly the best set of the night.
