Nocturnal Wonderland 2015: Day 3 Recap

I can’t believe it was here, the final day of a three day journey to the past and present. 20 years of one of a kind experiences rolled into one monumental weekend. I failed to attend early sets on the last two days and I couldn’t suffer the same fate today. A DJ that is and was one the most influential old school DJs of the 90s was playing, Oscar Da Grouch, many of you may not know him or have any heard of him. He has been tearing up vinyl for decades and breaks it down like no other, making it happen today at the Upside Down Room.

noc day 3-1

The Bixel Boys, Ian and Rob, are always mixing old school jams with all genres and bringing the house down with great vibes and soulful visuals. R.A.W. playing like a turnable psycho with his primordial jungle style. Possibly the best set of the night, Booka Shade, throwing it down deep and proper at the Sunken Garden with a live set. DJ Trance aka Jason Blakemore showing us OG skills can always knock the newbies out of the park.

Lane 8 dropped his new track with Solomon Grey, “Hot As You Want”, which was intense. Sasha, one of the two brits for the Global Dance Scene we have now, the other being John Digweed, turning a tent into dance party for the gods. Donald Glaude, rocking the CDJs but keeping that old school mix in play. Kaskade, is always a must see and brought his usual style and grace to the main stage. Dusky, changed it up and kept the crowd going till the music stopped. It’s over, that’s all. No, this can’t be. One more day please.
