EDC Vegas ProTip #47 Be Cautious of People Trying to Sell You Things on the Strip

First off, this isn’t just about drugs but to get that out of the way don’t do that. You’ll look like a raver, act like a raver and there will be plenty of desperate ravers around and bad people out there will try and steal your money, sell you fake and dangerous stuff and of course you’ll run the risk of getting arrested.

All of these things can happen in any city, not limited to Las Vegas in any way.

There’ll also be people trying to sell you CD’s on the streets as well and you’ll want to make sure to not put your hands on one. They’ll try and put one in your hands and then pressure you into buying it to the point you’ll just hand them money to be done with it. They could go as far as trying to make it sound like you’re trying to steal one as well to make the situation uncomfortable. If this happens to you just set it down in front of them and walk away.

You may encounter all sorts of people trying to sell you things like that but just ignore them and move on.

There will be also be a lot of people all over the main strip handing out these little cards for strip clubs and escort services. They’ll make a snapping sound and have the cards right in your face to get your attention (if you’re a guy). These do not cost anything and can be looked at in two ways. The first way is that they’re garbage. The second way could be like they’re collectors items. If you decide to collect them you’ll laugh at the large stack you quickly accumulate.

Anyone who has travelled has encountered these things before but if it’s your first trip to a big city be cautious and don’t fall for the scams!
