EDC Las Vegas Shuttle Stops for 2013

Now that tickets have been shipped out (not shuttle passes though for most) we know where the pickup locations will be for the shuttles. If you have not received your shuttle pass do not stress about it. Chances are it’ll just be at will call like the original order page said that it would be. Why have some received the shuttle pass wristbands and others have not? No idea but don’t stress about it, be patient!

If you have not bought a shuttle pass what are you waiting for? ProTip #81 was all about buying a shuttle pass. The system was a lot better in 2012 than it was in 2011 and it’ll be better this year. Go and buy one before they sell out.

The simple answer is that if you’re staying anywhere on the main strip between Mandalay Bay and Circus Circus there is a stop within walking distance. Assuming your hotel is not listed here all you need to do is head over to Google Maps and find your hotel and then the closest stop.

Example.. If you’re staying at Luxor you can either go next door to Excalibur or even Mandalay Bay. Every night in 2012 my group took the Excalibur shuttle to the festival and then the Mandalay Bay bus back because the line wasn’t as long. Do NOT assume because a line is shorter that it’ll be a quicker ride back. They do not all have the same amount of buses so a longer line at another stop could move faster with more buses. That’s just something to keep in mind. It’s Vegas so it’s a gamble!

Everyone will know about the festival so if you’re lost just ask just about anyone where the shuttle stop is and they’ll point you in the right direction. You’ll also want to be prepared for people to look at you funny if you’re dressed up. Don’t take it personal, they’re just surprised. In the morning you’ll get looked at as well walking like a zombie looking like you need a few showers.

Here’s the stops:

Bellagio – Tour and Travel Lobby
RIO – Carnival World Buffet Door
Mandalay Bay – Shark Reef/Convention Center Entrance
Monte Carlo – Taxi, Bus, and Group Pickup
Excalibur – Rotunda Airport/Shuttle Bus Pickup Drop-off
ARIA – Tour Lobby
MGM Grand – South conference center entrance
Cosmopolitan – Main Entrance near Registration
Hard Rock – Paradise Self-Parking Lot
Mirage – North Valet
Downtown Bus Terminal – Between N Casino Center Blvd. & 4th St. at Stewart Ave.
Circus Circus – West Side Lot Behind Adventure Dome

You DO NOT have to go to the same stop every time or use the same drop off location so if something comes up or on the way back it’s quicker to get on a different shuttle don’t hesitate.
