Six ProTips For Night Two of EDC 2013

The first night of Electric Daisy Carnival 2013 is in the books and it was a wild one. A lot of mixed reviews out there but it was a great time and the stages were all intense. Wear a smile on your face, be polite and have fun.

1. Leave before 6:00PM for the shuttle buses. When everyone decides it’s time to leave after 6:30PM at the same time it turns into a cluster of people everywhere. There’s no possible way to get that many people on a bus at the same time. If you go later just relax and take it in stride.

2. After 5:00AM as you leave the festival there’s going to be a lot of other people leaving as well. If you don’t want to stand in a sea of people being hereded like cattle just relax inside of the venue until after 6:00AM. The buses keep running and by 6:30AM the lines were all inside and under the tent’s with many hotel lines completely empty.

3. Cell service was non existant in most area’s from about 9:30PM until after 4:00AM so don’t plan on trying to communicate that way. If you’d like some data to leave Facebook messages or something like that to others head over to the Sony setup behind Circuit Ground which has free open WiFi.

4. The main stage was a mass of people trying to get in and out at various times but there was a lot of room once inside. If you’d like room to dance head to the back left corner. There was a lot of wide open space to move freely with a great view of the stage.

5. If you’re looking for ways to try and meet up with others at a certain stage the best place is often the back right or left corner. So many people are in a hurry to get up close and it’s worth it once or twice but stick to the back corners if you’d like room to dance and make it easier for people to find you. Once up towards the front of a stage it’ll be near impossible.

6. Wear comfortable shoes. It was amazing how many people decided to wear heels and were just standing in one spot barely moving. Example:
