Permits Issued for Two Weekends of Tomorrowland 2014

Tomorrowland is one of the world’s most popular festivals with its lavish stage designs and in 2014 permits have been issued for the festival to be held over the course of two weekends. The Dutch website Gazet van Antwerpen has reported that the mayors of the towns Tree and Rumst issued the necessary permits without hesitation for the festival to be held. Tomorrowland has not issued any kind of statement or comment about the potential of two weekends.

The 2013 edition of the festival sold out all of its tickets in one second so this could mean that two weekends may take two to three seconds for a sell out. The odds are now increased for those wishing to get to Belgium!

Ultra Miami was held over two weekends in 2013 but ran into some road blocks with the City of Miami and will only be one weekend in 2014. There had been rumors of Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas moving to two weekends but that rumor was crushed early on by festival founder Pasquale Rotella. These festivals cost massive amounts of money but also bring in a lot of money to organizers, sponsors, hospitality industries and everyone else in between so it only makes sense that businesses want to expand while the demand continues to be high.

An official announcement from Tomorrowland is expected on Wednesday, December 4, 2013.
