Panelists Announced for 3rd Annual EDMbiz Conference & Expo

As everyone descends on Las Vegas for Electric Daisy Carnival there’s also the EDMbiz Conference & Expo going on three days prior to the start of the massive festival at The Cosmopolitan. The event is three days of discussion panels, networking and conferences. The 2014 edition of EDMbiz will feature keynote panels with Above & Beyond and Hardwell and hosted by KCRW Music Director Jason Bentley.

EDMbiz Conference & Expo (www.EDMbiz.com), electronic dance music’s premiere industry event, symposium and expo, returns to The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas Tuesday, June 17, Wednesday, June 18 and Thursday, June 19 for three days of insightful panels, workshops, and keynote addresses from the music world’s biggest and brightest minds. After much anticipation, the first wave of panelists and speakers have been announced.

Confirmed for the third annual EDMbiz Conference are keynotes from two of the most successful and engaging artists in dance music right now: Hardwell and Above & Beyond. Other focused sessions will dive into many relevant issues including mergers & acquisitions and investment with the “The 6.2 Billion Dollar Business: Does Size Matter?” panel, talent representation and booking with “Meet The Windish Agency” and the “State of the Label: The Art of Selling Music” panel focusing on the record business today.

The curriculum will also feature a new EDM consumer report “Engaging The Electronic Music Listener” from Tatiana Oliveira Simonian, Head of Branded Music Entertainment at Nielsen; a “#20Something” panel curated by Jake Udell, manager of Krewella, focusing on up and coming music executives; and “The Third Annual EDMbiz Artist Panel.” Returning as host for the third year is KCRW Music Director Jason Bentley. Launched in 2012 as part of EDC Week in Las Vegas, EDMbiz provides an inspired forum in which artists, managers, agents, promoters, labels, publishers, producers, advertising agencies, brand execs, technologists and entrepreneurs can discuss the most relevant topics facing dance music culture today. Attendees can also experience the best of Las Vegas nightlife at a number of special EDC Week events taking place at some of the world’s hottest clubs. In addition to new panels, formats and speakers, this year’s installment will expand to include a full-scale expo featuring EDM culture’s most sought-after music and lifestyle brands.
