Nocturnal Wonderland 2015: Day 2 Recap

Once again, I cannot get enough of the pool and water slide. I’ve become a total addict. It has become a morning ritual, in begin my day in this order: pool, water slide, shower, breakfast, and then spend time with PLUR fam. My first stop of the day was the Upside Down Room for old school DJ Craze, a blast from the past but dropping vinyl like a boss. Alan Fitzpatrick is the drumcode jedi. A set I definitely was at from start to finish.

noc day 2-1

Flosstradamus, the white suits and the lack of originality was enough to say I knew this was going to bad but why not. It’s never good to be right about how bad a set is. The History 101 was a room with a few old, but enlarged black light posters from the 90’s, a Pac Man big screen, a turnable setup and a Marty McFly’s DeLorean parked outside for the next wonderland adventure. I could not miss Ton!c aka Deorro, bring the panda funk to the San Manuel Amphitheater, tossing to up with his usual tracks and upbeat bass.

noc day 2-2

Adam Beyer, killing it, causing shufflers to go non-stop for two straight hours. Nicole Moudaber, the Queen of Techno, taking the crowd on a funtastic journey down the rabbit hole. Z-Trip, his second set of the weekend and put them all to shame with the best set of the day at Queen’s Grounds. I caught a glimpse of the old school mixer himself, DJ Jazzy Jeff, still holding down as a vinyl mastermind. Pretty Lights, that’s all I saw, was not much of a set…just lights, but they were beautiful. I did pass by Alesso but continued on my journey. Sam Paganini, threw it down like MJ dunks, hard and with accuracy. He was a phenomenal close to an amazing night.
