EDC Orlando 2015: Five Must See Artists

With EDC Orlando so close its time to really put some thought into some artists I cannot miss. This will be my first time to the Orlando installment of Electric Daisy Carnival, but in 2016 it will be my 5th EDC Las Vegas. Insomniac has done it again and put together another impressive lineup, and as difficult as it was to pick five lets dive into them.

Ilan Bluestone
What better way than to start with Ilan Bluestone! In an extremely short period of time, this London-based producer has gone from relative unknown to one of the hottest new acts on the international dance music scene with four successive Beatport trance #1 tracks. For me Above & Beyond along with their Group Therapy podcasts really opened my eyes to the thunderous talent. Below is one of my favorite sets by this mastermind.

Simon Patterson
Another one I cannot miss is Mr. “Open Up” himself, Simon Patterson. Simon is one of the hottest DJ/Producers in the world of PSY-trance. From techy moods to edgy riffs, spin tingling melodies to driving baselines he always takes the crowd on a musical journey from start to end. The last time I attended an event in which he was the feature act was an open to close which blew my mind.

Ferry Corsten
Right up there with the previous two is the legend Ferry Corsten. Through my work with Schulz Army I have had the pleasure of meet Ferry numerous time and sharing some awesome moments at one of my favorite parties, the New World Punx Pool Party at Tao Beach in Las Vegas.  This Dutch DJ, remixer and producer of trance is well-known for producing several pioneering tracks and albums during the 1990s-2000s under his numerous aliases, including System F, Moonman and Gouryella. I cannot wait to hear Ferry do what he does best at EDC Orlando.

Next is the up and coming DJ/Producer 4B. This DJ is one of the main reasons I have developed such a love for Hard House and Jungle Terror. The tracks that he plays have bone crunching sound and keep the energy somewhere as high as the Cosmos. After hearing 4B for the first time live at EDC Las Vegas 2015, he is a must see for me in Orlando.

Get Real: Green Velvet and Claude VonStroke
Last but certainly not least is Get Real: Green Velvet and Claude VonStroke. The collaboration began with a late night back to back set in Miami, and continued through further B2B sets in Vegas and Chicago, leading the duo to take the act on the road. Green Velvet is one of my favorites and Claude is another amazing talent. The chance to see them both together can’t be missed.
