Some EDC Vegas 2014 Shuttle Passes Have Sold out

We’re only 70 days away from Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2014 and with general admission and VIP tickets sold out the shuttle passes for some stops are starting to sell out as well. The shuttles are going to be run a little different than the last three years with everyone having to pick a stop instead of a free for all show up where you want to. If you bought one of the first batches of shuttle passes you had to sign back in and pick your location but since then when you buy a pass you pick the location and now some of those have sold out.

Ask anyone who’s gone to a previous EDC Las Vegas about a complaint they have and chances are the shuttle will be number one. Trying to figure out a way to get 75,000+ people on a shuttle bus to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is no easy task, especially when a majority of people all want to go at the same time. They’ve improved year over year with more buses and last year a dedicated route through Nellis Air Force Base avoiding car traffic right around the speedway.

The hope for this year is that with a limited amount of people at each stop they can properly plan how many shuttles to have. In years past news would spread that there were no lines at one location, people would start going there and suddenly there’s a long line.

Will you be able to just show up anywhere and get on the shuttle? Don’t count on it. If they start turning people around it can be a long walk back to the location you picked.

As of writing this the following locations no longer have passes available:

  • COSMOPOLITAN
  • ARIA
  • HARD ROCK
  • MONTE CARLO
  • MGM

What do you do now?

If you’re staying at The Cosmopolitan or Aria you may want to think about The Linq. Aria and Cosmo are pretty central to the strip so either The Linq or Excalibur will be a good walk, especially in the morning.

If you’re staying at Hard Rock, Monte Carlo or MGM the closest will probably be Excalibur.

Here’s where all of the stops are and where the shuttles will pick you up and drop you off:

Aria – Tour Lobby (underground)
Circus Circus – East Lot, Adventure Dome entrance
Mandalay Bay – Shark Reef / Convention Center Entrance
Cosmopolitan – Main Valet (underground, against north wall)
Downtown – Container Park North Bus Lane (passengers line up in alley between 2 main buildings)
MGM Grand – Bottom Level, self-parking garage
Hard Rock Hotel – East Side, Paradise lot
Excalibur – Tour Lobby Rotunda
Mirage – North Valet
Monte Carlo – North tour Lobby
Rio – West Entrance, shuttle bus staging
MGM Lot (across from Luxor) – Enter off Las Vegas Blvd at Gates 1 & 3
Linq (map send under different cover) – Public Parking Lot (Behind High Roller)
