Once a festival or party is over we all start sifting through pictures and videos living the night all over again and sharing stories with friends. Over time though these are eventually lost in the digital world of random folders, albums and hard drives. A new addition for the after event memories is an AfterMag that Insomniac has started that will be created after every event with the first issue about Escape from Wonderland 2013. Take some time and flip through the 70 pages of pictures, embedded videos and stories from festival attendees. You’ll also find stories about Halloween from artists Mat Zo, Dubfire, Trent Cantrelle, Brillz, Emma Hewitt, Eats Everything, Noisia, Prolix, Carnage, Optiv, Manufactured Superstars, Baggi Begovic and El Hornet.

One of the most interesting things from the AfterMag is some numbers about each stage.

The Slaughter House:

  • 138 yards of black cloth
  • 40 foot grim reaper
  • 1.5 million pounds of scaffolding
  • 12,600 square feet of graphic overlay
  • 127 blood red paper lanterns in the graveyard
  • 77 pumpkins
  • 27,000 man-hours of stage labor

Ghoul’s Graveyard:

  • 600 watts of lasers, equivalent to 600,000 standard laser pointers
  • 4.75 million watts of power, enough to power 570 homes for 1 year
  • 160,000 watts of sound
  • 6 terabytes of visuals
  • 12,000 square feet of decking
  • 1,850+ light fixtures generating 10,875,000 lumens of light
  • 25 skulls and severed heads

The Chopping Block:

  • 50 cans of spray paint used to get up on the wall
  • 16 countries represented
  • 80,000 “fucking hands in the air”
  • 180 gallons of fuel
  • 5.25 miles of cable
  • 60 semi-trailer trucks

Cannibal’s Tea Party:

  • 62 zombies
  • 352 foam noodle totems
  • 31 songs played by Richie Hawtin
  • 3,000 pounds of candy shot from a nearby pinata

Wide Awake Art Car:

  • 600 pounds of antique wheels
  • 100,000+ total miles
  • 60 person capacity
  • 2,800 hand cut purple diamonds
