We’ve Known for Over a Year That Pasquale Rotella Could Face Jail Time

As a lot of headlines around the internet are screaming “PASQUALE ROTELLA COULD FACE 13 YEARS OF PRISON TIME” I’ll simply say that’s nothing new. The idea that Pasquale could face jail time has been known for over a year when Insomniac said on March 22, 2012 that it was expected that it’s CEO, Pasquale Rotella, would be arrested for having a part in the Coliseum scandal.

Did he do something wrong that could lead to him missing the first birthday of his daughter and missing his wedding while he’s in jail? That’s possible. Screaming headlines paint the worst case scenario and create an image of that actually happening when it’s rarely the case.

Pasquale was indicted on bribery, embezzlement, conspiracy and conflict of interest charges. He was one of six people charged for an alleged $2.5M in back room deals for raves at the LA Coliseum. To put it in simple terms, it’s alleged that Rotella and others paid off city officials to make sure raves went off without a hitch and to likely avoid a lot of bureaucracy which resulted in a loss of tax payer dollars.

Throughout everything Pasquale has insisted he will be cleared of any wrong doings.

Rotella has been out on $1.8M bail and will return to court on July 29th so don’t fear little ravers, Electric Daisy Carnival 2013 in Las Vegas has no obstacles other than the wind.
