EDC Vegas ProTip #51 Remember It’s An Experience, Not a Concert

Today is a new day and it’s the day after the initial lineup for Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas 2013 was announced and it’s time to offer a protip reminder that it’s all about the experience! I’m beyond excited for the diversity of the lineup. Is the rest of the world? Of course not. Just because it seems like a lot of people are complaining doesn’t mean that’s really the case. The unhappy are always the loudest and drown out many others. Let’s move beyond that though and stay positive!

It's All About the Experience

Remember that. IT’S ALL ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE UNDER THE ELECTRIC SKY!

You’re going to Sin City (unless you already live there) for a vacation and experience you are not able to get anywhere else. You’re getting in your car to drive or hopping on a plane to fly to get away from life, work or whatever else to let loose and have a great time. It’s about the whole experience of being in Las Vegas with a lot of other ravers from around the world!! How many? Well over 100,000 to be exact! It’ll be amazing arriving and seeing EDC advertisements everywhere. You’ll hear ravers chanting EDC everywhere. You’ll see people dressed in all sorts of costumes  everywhere. Join in on the fun, Las Vegas is ours while we are all there!

You know what you aren’t going for? A concert. Will there be music? Oh hell yes there will be. There’ll also be artists, dancers, art, carnival rides and so much more. ProTip #52 yesterday was all about staring over the lineup 500 times a minute because that’s definitely a big part of it all because every experience needs a soundtrack. A concert is showing up, saying hi to people, music plays, you go home. That’s not what Electric Daisy Carnival is like in any way. It can be a concert if you want it to be but you’d be missing out.

Chant EDC. Hug a raver. High five a raver. Be a goofball dancing in a casino. Dance on the street. Smile everywhere you go. If you see someone that isn’t smiling ask them to. Make new friends. Take pictures with others. Compliment others. We create the positive atmosphere and the amazing experience.

After the rough day yesterday trying to wade through all the nonsense to find other people excited it was time to put out a reminder about the experience. I talked to enough people to know the overwhelming majority of people are beyond stoked for the festival and the lineup but at quick glances it may not seem that way.
