Do you have any close friends that don’t know that you are going to Las Vegas for Electric Daisy Carnival? I doubt it. If you do have friends in the dark it’s probably because you have to hide the fact that you’re going for some reason. The rest of us though have been telling our Facebook friends and Twitter followers for up to six months that we’re going.
Each and every one of us will post the following things:
1) Boarding the plane!
2) OMG LANDED IN VEGAS! EDC SIGNS EVERYWHERE!
3) Time to get the first drink, wander and find the hotel!
4) TIME FOR THE BEST FESTIVAL IN THE WORLD!!!!!
5) There’s so many people here and so much love!!!!!!!!!!!!!
…insert many more…
45) Ugh my head hurts.
47) Time to do it all over again.
You know you will. I’m sure I will. That’s fine, share the excitement!
What you don’t need to do though is live tweet every DJ that you’re seeing and how the crowd is and whether there’s too much trance, trouse or trap. Enjoy the festival. Enjoy the people you are with. If we’re lucky enough to get a good data signal we’ll all share a picture or video here and there but don’t kill your phone battery by midnight because you’ve been uploading left and right.
Share the excitement and love but there’s no need to post continued live updates because you know what, we’re all there as well and won’t be reading what you’re posting, we’ll be experiencing it. Those people elsewhere who didn’t go can live in suspense about how awesome it is and find out in the morning once you’re back in your hotel room and you start uploading.
About the ProTips: I’ve been counting down the days until Electric Daisy Carnival with a tip a day until the day of the festival. There’ll be more to come after this one and you can view ALL of them here.
