EDC Vegas ProTip #22 Be Nice, Do Not Judge and Have Fun

We are exactly three weeks away from the start of one of the best festival’s in the world and it’s time for a protip reminder that we are all there to have fun! That’s it. It’s a party. A celebration. A carnival. A festival  Enjoy one of the best times of your life with friends old and new and don’t worry so much about judging others around you.

It should go without saying to be nice. Smile and say hi to people or at least smile, don’t just walk by other people with your head down looking somewhere else. You never know who you’ll randomly encounter that could become a friend for life. Take the time to give that person a high five that looks totally different than you because you never know, they could be the same inside.

Everyone also needs to stop judging everyone else. The discussions online about the bro’s and this and that at pool parties or clubs or at a certain stage is stupid. We’re all going to a big massive party. There aren’t any rules to all of this other than to have fun and respect each other. The people who try and appear to be the most true to the scene are often the ones disrespecting and judging so many others.

If you’re young don’t think it’s weird seeing an old person having just as much fun. Chances are they were around when all of this started and still love the music and the atmosphere around all of it. Not everyone get’s jaded and disgruntled at things because again, it’s just a party.

Stop judging the kandi kids, the bro’s, the girls with pasties, the old people, the guy with no shirt on, the skinny person, the fat person and even the bald person because this scene is one of the best in the world where we can all just gather and party and dance to the best music in the world.

And if you’re going nuts to Armin van Buuren and someone thinks it’s Avicii or Borgore just correct them with a smile. That’s it. Not everyone is an expert and while it’d be great if everyone knew everything it’s not a big deal. It’s just a party.

It’s not 1997 and this isn’t a secret society where you need personal reference to get in the door. Be nice, do not judge! We don’t all have to be best friends but we can all have fun together!

Am I judging you for judging? I guess so! See you on the dance floor with a smile.

About the ProTips: I’ve been counting down the days until Electric Daisy Carnival with a tip a day until the day of the festival. There’ll be more to come after this one and you can view ALL of them here.
