EDC Vegas ProTip #24 Get to Know the Bartender, Food Vendor, etc

This tip is one of those that could be for just about any area in life where someone will be serving you. Once you come across a great bartender, food vendor, concierge, taxi cab driver or whoever else and they do a great job get to know them and visit them. If you’re a smart person you’ll be tipping these people and in turn they’ll recognize that and likely take care of you after repeated visits.

These people are working but at the same time if they’re good at what they do they’ll be portraying an image of having fun and will be laughing with you and as a night goes on maybe laughing at you but it’s all in good fun.

The bartender will give you quicker service when everyone else is waiting because they recognize you and you’ve taken care of them and they’ve taken care of you. Depending on how the service works they may pour a little longer or even give you a drink on them.

A food service worker may offer you some additional food, warmer food, quicker service or even a recommendation on someplace else to go in town.

The hotel concierge knows the town and people and can give you the best advice on just about everything. They may even have a way to get you hooked up for an event or show that no one else can.

When you get in a taxi cab talk up the driver and even ask him for his phone number in case you need a cab. These guys can often be sitting around a cab stand waiting for work and if they’re nearby may come to you as needed. A cab driver also knows the town so if you need anything they can probably hook you up. You’ll want to be cautious though because they can often earn money by bringing customers to strip clubs and they’re great salesmen.

Even if they don’t give you anything extra you’re helping to cheer their day up by giving them some business and laughs and you’re also getting some good service in return. These people often come across really rude people and will welcome a tourist there to have a good time and treat them well and in turn they’ll treat you well.

What do you do when someone provides you with horrible service? Just move on and find someone else.
